A Good Book

I'm getting so excited for my upcoming trip. My sweet sis and her hubby are getting sealed and I get to fly there in November (thanks, Andy!). I will be a mom without children (thanks, Ben!) and am now wondering which book(s) I should bring for the flight.

Have you read any good books lately? Comment and convince me to read your latest favorite book(s) on my trip and I will declare you the Official Book-Recommending Champion of the World.

Have you Read the "Wednesday's Letters"? It's a mystery and romance. Very good read and a quick one. My mom recommended it to me after she read it for her book club.

I'll just declare myself the winner. You should read "The Secret Life of Bees". It's a book that is really hard to put down, but it's also short enough that you can finish quickly. Logan gave it to me for my bridal shower and I read it in a matter of a couple days. The bonus is that they just made a movie out of it and part of it was filmed in the Wilmington, NC area. So once you finish it, you can make Ben take you out to the movie! I told you I'd win.

Have you READ Twilight yet? If not, Do it. I got a friend at work hooked. She picked it up yesterday, and is already half way through! :-D You'll LOVE IT!

Okay, Jamie, but you don't win. I've already read it twice. But keep thinking along those lines because I really loved that book. Was the Wednesday's Letters about the kids who find a stash of letters their deceased parents had written? I thought it sounded intriguing. I'll try the Twilight series when I'm not on my own vacation--I can see myself wanting the next volume and not getting it. I liked the first of the #1 Ladie's Detective Agency but I immediately wanted access to ALL of them. I can get engrossed in a good book/series. Just ask my parents. I was cuckoo for Babysitters Club eons ago.

Great job so far, guys. Keep 'em coming.

Sorry, I had to throw that in there.

I was going to say take all 4 Twilight Books. LOL. You can see my Shelfari shelf on my blog for books I have read lately. I don't think any were historical fiction though. Except if you like mystery as well, The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen was good. Have fun on your trip!
